About me

Hello, I'm Alice, a PhD student in public policy at Harvard Kennedy School, currently in my 3rd year of study. Originally from Paris, France, I have always been fascinated by the intersection of economics and social development. With the generous support of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School, I am excited to embark on a captivating research journey this summer.

My educational journey includes a Master's degree in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics (PSE), as well as a bachelor's degree in development economics from the University Paris Dauphine.

My research interests span across labor, development, and behavioral economics.  I am particularly passionate about understanding how societal expectations and gender roles influence various aspects of individuals' lives, including education, labor market participation, and decision-making processes.

Prior to pursuing my PhD, I had the opportunity to work for three years in the World Bank research group. During my time there, I actively contributed to two longitudinal studies conducted in Pakistan and Cambodia.

This summer, I am excited to collaborate with fellow PhD student Sachet Bangia on a research study focused on the intriguing topic of love and arranged marriage in India. Our aim is to delve into the depths of societal norms surrounding these marital practices and examine their implications for gender inequality.
